Angel Food Ministries

My aunt told me about Angel Food Ministries. Basically, it's an organization open to anyone and everyone that provides affordable groceries/food. They post a different menu each month and have recipes also available. If you are too busy to prepare the meals, you can purchase the on-the-go meals.

Here is the menu for March:
1.5 lb. Ribeye Steaks (4 x 6 oz.)
3 lb. Split Chicken Breast
1.5 lb. Country Fried Steak Patties (6 x 4 oz)
1 lb. Package 80/20 Ground Beef
1 lb. Fully Cooked Meatballs
1 lb. Mild Italian Sausage
12 oz. Deli Sliced Ham
1 lb. California Blend
1 lb. Green Beans
20 oz. Shoestring Fries
1 lb. Pasta
28 oz. Marinara Sauce
21 oz. Condensed Soup(makes 5 servings)
1 lb. Pinto Beans
32 oz. 2% Shelf Stable Milk
Dozen Eggs
Dessert

All this for....wait for it...$30.00. Yes, you read it right. You find your local host site (local church) just enter your zip code. There are four sites in Bentonville. Then contact them and place your order. It comes in and you pick it up. Please check it out here.

We have that here in Florida as well. In fact before I met Mike, I used to help our local church pack the groceries for the Angel Food Ministry. Keep that in mind the next time you have some spare time - they can always use a helping hand (and here, if you volunteered, you received your groceries at no charge!)
