Steal Your Dollar City

For Luke's 2nd birthday we thought it would be fun to take the kids to Silver Dollar City. It has been years since I've been there, so I was excited to see what I remembered. We wanted to do something special for Luke because, you know those second kids don't get near the fun and exciting stuff the first one does. However, Luke really wasn't tall enough to ride anything except the "choo choo" and he could have cared less if he did ride something.

It was hot! Really hot, but my kids did not get sunburned! YEAH!!! Probably because their crazy mother kept putting sunscreen on them all day.

Here John is riding the elephant - we could not get him off there!

Here's Kate and John waiting in line to ride the rollercoaster...that she decided after waiting...she didn't want to ride it.

They have a ball pit area that we could NOT get our kids out of. Kate loved this machine, it was a gun that shot out these balls. She looks really hot here, but really was wet from playing in the water. Well, she probably is hot too.

Luke loved this area too. The hoses would suck up the balls, he thought that was so cool. Of course, the guy running it told Luke to stop throwing the balls at people....

Here we are on the "choo choo". You know where you ride the train, then it gets robbed? While we were being 'robbed' the guy in front of us was turned around watching the robbers and he was laughing and Kate noticed he was missing some teeth...so she pointed it out to me..."LOOK MOM, HE LOST A TOOTH" I wish the robbers would have shot me.

This is Luke's 'cheese' face. I have no idea why he gives us the pirate eye.

All in all, it was a good trip. I was really happy that they endured the heat and only fought a little and went straight to sleep.

The traditional pose...riding on the cart at the hotel. They love doing this. Now they have started posing. Silly kids.
