My girl's weekend was a lot of fun. It did not rain and my children survived (and thrived) without me.
Friday I met my mother and Aunt in Dardanelle and drove to Memphis. My cousin Shelby invited us to stay with her in her big fancy house. It is really nice. She made a nice dinner for us on Friday night and we rested and relaxed. On Saturday, we went down to the River to try some BBQ - they didn't work out like we planned, so we headed over to Neely's Restaurant from the "Down Home with the Neely's" fame. The food was so good and the wait staff was so friendly. Then we did some shopping and more resting and relaxing. It was a good weekend although I did miss my kids. The first thing Kate said to me was "Next year, I get to go, with you, and Meme and Aunt Nana and Shelby and Jasper (Jasper is Shelby's dog)."
