Kate, will you help me????

We are so glad we got this on video as we were laughing so hard watching Luke try to pick up a "FAKE" plant that we have in our dining room. Luke was in there playing with his cars when he accidentally knocked over the plant and he just couldn't, should say wouldn't, touch the actual plant to pick it up. He tried and tried to upright the plant by picking it up from the base, but it just wasn't happening. In comes Kate to save the day...

Look Mom...I'm Marty!

Has anyone seen Madagascar? We've seen it like 7 trillion times. Remember Marty? Aunt Sissy gave the kids some tablets that turn the bath water different colors. We tried it out. I see Kate acting like she is drinking the water. I said - DON'T DRINK THE WATER!!! She said, I'm not Mom, I'm Marty!

You remember the scene at the beginning, where Marty (the zebra) is putting on a show for the people who came to the zoo....

Trying to Escape

Luke has started using his step stool to "reach" everything. The other morning, I found him trying to unlock the door...I know he was trying to escape.
Kate joined him..She would drive the car!

Happy Monday everyone!

Where have I been?

It's been awhile since I've blogged. No one seems to have noticed...except for Sissy. She asked me why I haven't been blogging. We've been too busy. It seems like since Summer is winding down, we are picking up more things to do.

Monday: Dance class
Tuesday: Mother's Day Out for Kate
Wednesday: Neighborhood Playgroup
Thursday: Mother's Day Out for Kate - Next week, Luke starts. YIKES!!!
Friday: Other Playgroup
Here is some pictures we took over the last week.

This is Lilly from our Neighborhood playgroup. She and Kate are about the same age. She has a sister who is the same age as Luke. I didn't get a good picture of little Audrey. I know that her and Luke are going to be BF/GF. We are trading babysitting with Audrey/Lilly's parents. It worked out great. Kate and Luke loved having them over. They were such well-behaved children that I'm embarrassed to send my monkeys to their house! Here Kate and Lilly are reading a book.

Love that red hair!

Kate and John were driving Meme's car. Kate said - "Look Daddy!" which usually means trouble. He turned around to find this. Meme had a hat in her car and Kate thought she should wear it!

On Saturday, we went to the Frisco Festival in Rogers. The weather was perfect and they had little FREE rides for the kids. Kate had such a good time. She rode almost everything. She wasn't scared or shy about riding with people she didn't know. Here she is driving a car.

Here's what Luke did. He was so mad he couldn't get down and roam around by himself.

Here she is riding the Ferris Wheel. This thing went way up high and swung back and forth. She has her back to us. She rode with two other kids she didn't know. At the top she said "Mommy, I'm having so much fun up here! WOOOO!"

Train of course...she was basically driving it.

Luke did get to ride the Carousel. He loved it.

I hope everyone had a good week. I promise to keep posting. If you promise to read it.

Finally Pictures!

I've been trying to get my kids pictures made forever. Today I finally did. We canceled our family photos for the time being, but I still needed to have pictures of the children, so I just ran over to the mall. Of course, the appointment was during naps. Kate did excellent! Her hair is always a hot mess, but she did so good, I was so proud of her. Luke was very upset and I think overwhelmed by the photographer. Thank goodness John was with me, we probably would have left with nothing. I changed Luke's outfit, but left Kate in the same dress.

Notice the baseballs? Luke would not give them up. In the first picture he is holding one. He played with them the whole time.

New sitting place

Kate and Luke love to get inside the refrigerator. Kate can now open the refrigerator. She doesn't do it often, but once it's open, Luke comes running into the kitchen. His goal is to "climb" in. He seriously has tried to climb up the shelves. He pulls out the salad dressings in the door, notice he's holding one.

Pool time

Today we went to Gymboree and played for awhile. Kate and Luke loved it. We met two other kids (brothers actually) who are Kate and Luke's age. They pretty much had the place to themselves - and loved it. Of course, no pictures.

This afternoon we had a pool party and when I say pool party - I mean Jacob, Kate and Luke. This is Kate's pool from last year. I think it's fine for Luke, not so much for the other kids. We have a new one, but we haven't aired it up yet. I think they think they were taking a bath. Especially since Luke was naked for alittle while - hee hee.

Check out who Kate is 'relaxing'. She wanted to lay down the whole time.

I don't know if you can tell, all three of them are in there. Crowded!

This is one of my favorite pics! Love it. Just a little crack...

When I put Luke to bed tonight, I told him it was his birthday tomorrow, he didn't seem to care. Look how blue his eyes are and how white his skin is, bless his heart. He doesn't get that from my husband. Just FYI, he usually wears a swim shirt.

Update

After their naps today, they had snacks - in our room because I was bidding on something on Ebay. Kate crawled up on my bed and Luke was sitting on the floor. I turned around to find this:

Kate was eating her dessert from Mimi's Cafe today - chocolate dirt cake and Luke was eating a Strawberry pop tart. They were watching Yo Gabba Gabba. I was like "YIKES! my bed!" The big pillows are on the floor, so she didn't get them dirty. On top of all that, I was outbid on Ebay...

Siblings

Here is a picture of my children the other morning. They were so sweet with each other. They were "snuglin" per Kate.

While Mommy is away...

Well, since Mommy is away, hopefully having a good time at Memphis in May, I thought I'd send out a little blog update on how we're holding up at the house.

We're having a good time around the house. My mother came up to help me look after little Kate and Luke. I think they're all having a great time with each other. With the exception of today so far, both Kate and Luke have had a lot of outside time. Walks, the park and just hanging out on the deck with Grandma has been a good time for the kiddos.

Oh, and one more thing. Check out this video. Luke is turning into a walking machine. Amazing how quick they figure things out and how much progress they can make overnight.

Brotherly Love

Kate loves her "Little Buddy". This morning, she wanted to pose for a picture with him. He wasn't 'camera ready'.
The thing in his mouth is a toy hamburger bun.
Kate smiling for the camera - very rare this days
She took his passy out so he could smile for the camera. Check out those thighs!

Update on Us

Computer is still down. I'm seriously about to go to Best Buy and buy a new computer. My stuff is suppose to be here in the next couple of days. Many thanks to John for allowing me to use his stuff.

This weekend was yucky, however we ventured out to Razorfest. It was raining and by the time we got out of the car, it was raining so hard. Our kids were dry, but John and I did get a little wet.

Saturday night, Kirk cooked dinner for us which was very good! During that time, Kate was taking pictures.

Not bad for a 2 1/2 yr old.

Also, Luke turned 10 months old yesterday. Where did my baby go?

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter Weekend! We went to my parents house in Dardanelle. Lots of family there - we had a really good time. Warning - lots of pictures -
On Friday my cousin Amber brought over her kids to play with Kate and Luke. Cole is 5 and Kayla is the same age as Kate (2). Kayla also had a friend with her Lily. They wanted to play outside, but it was too cold!

Here they are all together. Luke, Lily, Kayla, Cole and Kate

Here is one w/Luke looking at the camera, but Lily is out of the shot.

Since it was beautiful on Saturday, we did a little shopping, had a little lunch and then let Kate have an Easter Egg Hunt. She carried her basket and Luke's.

She dressed herself. I guess I'm going to have to throw this heart jacket away, she LOVES it.

She's been eating the candy...notice the chocolate lips.

Luke having a good time.
Pappaw is Kate's partner in Crime...notice the candy in his hand.

Kate relaxing with her new friend - Jasper. She LOVES Jasper. She wanted her Daddy to "get her a Jasper."

Here she is walking Jasper around the house.

Also on Saturday, she got to ride on the tractor and 4-wheeler. I didn't get any picture of the tractor.
Here is Luke eating his new favorite thing - Graham Crackers!

On Sunday we got dressed up and went to Church with Meme and Pappaw.

Here is Meme and Pappaw with us.

After Church, Luke and John fell asleep - before Lunch.

Since it was so cold and raining, we hid eggs in the house. In theory a good idea, but really it wasn't because there was candy in them. They wouldn't stop eating the candy. Here is Jacob with one of his eggs. Notice he is going for the candy.

Kate looking for Eggs.

Jacob with his rabbit ears on.

Jacob and Kate - this is the best we could get. Kate was crying hard right before this picture. I can't believe she managed a smile.

After dinner we were hanging out with Luke. Sissy and Luke, my cousins Amber and Shelby.

Luke w/his Rabbit ears.

The Rabbit cake. John called it an upside down tooth cake and my Dad called it a cake with a big piece missing out of it.

I hope everyone had a Good Easter Weekend!
