Kate had a little birthday cash and she wanted Rapunzel hair...and the costume.....and the shoes.

I would climb up her hair and save her!

Clothes for Kelly

Kate has a favorite baby doll. Her name is Kelly (named after the Mom of one of her friends?!?!) She stripped Kelly's clothes off as soon as she could and now Kelly goes around naked and with crazy hair. She's not really naked, she has a flesh-tone bodysuit. Today, Kate make Kelly some clothes out of magazines. She cut them and taped them to Kelly. Project Runway....here we come!

Swim lessons

Kate started swimming lessons this week. I have no pictures of her in the pool or actually 'taking' the swim lesson because I have to drop her off and I'm not allowed to watch her. This makes me so sad, but I know it's the best thing for her. She is very excited to go and really is enjoying it.

This pictures are so small, but you get the idea. These are her school pictures. Check out her socks. She has to wear socks with everything.

Here she is patiently waiting for her balloon.

Someone spent the night with Meme...

It was this little girl. She looks so big here. This is the first time she wanted to spend the night all by herself. She did really good and we were so excited for her.

We really thought we would have to go get her in the middle of the night, but we didn't.

Happy February!

Kathryn Mai Pittman

Kathryn Mai Pittman was born on October 23, 2006. She is the funniest little girl ever.

She is about 6 months old here. Check out how chubby she was!

  • she loves for you to tell her stories - sometimes she re-tells them as her own
  • she always notices something new - a new purse, shirt or a new picture hanging
  • she loves to pretend to talk on the cell phone or get a text
  • she loves grilled cheese - morning, noon and night
  • she loves to eat ranch and crackers at US pizza.

  • She is a year old here - poor baby, barely any hair.

  • favorite drink - strawberry milk - she asks for it at restaurants, when they say no, she settles for chocolate
  • she wants a jeep and the 'tools' from Handy Manny for her birthday
  • she loves fruit snacks
  • she will spend an hour playing with playdough
  • she loves to help cook
  • she loves to take toys from her favorite brother
  • she is very social - talks to everyone at the grocery store, unless they talk to her first, then she freezes
  • she thinks she is turning 5, same age as pappaw
  • she always wants to ride in the extra long shopping cart at walmart where she and Luke can sit next to each other and eat each other's snacks

  • This is the day Luke was born - she was just a baby herself. What were we thinking???

  • she wants to know what we are doing everyday...after one activity, she wants to know what is next
  • she wants her daddy to put her to bed every night
  • she says her name is kathryn mai pippin
  • she loves watching movies with her brother over and over and over
  • in the middle of night when she has to go potty, she always ask John to take her to the bathroom
  • she says "DADDY, DADDY" when he comes home from work
  • she dances all the time
  • when she says "I learned how to do that"
  • she makes up songs to sing to tunes you recognize
  • when she says "It'll be alright" about everything...accidentally pee peeing in her panties, hitting Luke with a toy, dropping food on the floor
  • Today

Happy 3rd Birthday Kate! We Love You - Mommy, Daddy & Luke

I don't know what day it is...

Do you ever have one of those days where you don't know what day it is? Since I started staying home full time, I NEVER know the date! I think it's August, but is today Monday or Tuesday. I'm sure I'm the only one who experiences this.
My kids have had runny noses, but surprisingly they are in very good moods, which is probably why I think it's still Monday. I've wiped a lot noses. Here is a picture of Kate tonight. She was eating a cookie and I was on the computer. I turned around and this is what I saw.

Look at that face...how could I not let her have another cookie and stay up all night???

She did not want me to take her picture...hence the scowl.

Have a good rest of the week!

New Night Gown

I bought Kate a night gown yesterday and she wore it to bed last night. Gone are the footed pjs. She loves those too, but she is getting too big for them. She looks like such a big girl in her nightgown!
Have a great weekend!

What we do when Luke goes to bed

Luke goes to bed at 7:30 most nights. Tonight, Kate wanted to go swimming, but we just turned on the sprinkler and let her run through it, and she was happy and the yard got watered.

I'm ready for the weekend...anyone else?

I can't believe it's Friday already!

Wow, I have not posted anything since Monday? Wow. Where did the week go?

John still has not passed his kidney stone...yikes! I took him to the specialist on Wednesday and they said that he will need to wait a couple of weeks and see if it's passed and if not, then they will break it up with soundwaves, etc. He has been working from home all week - I don't know how he can get anything done with these two kids constantly running around! His pain comes and goes. Overall, he is doing better.

We had playgroup today and prior to leaving I made John take the little "playground" as Kate calls it outside. It's a swing and slide combo. It has been in the playroom since the winter and now it needs to go outside where it belongs! I swear my husband would bring those motorcycles in my house if I would let him. Back to the story, Luke was devastated it wasn't in the playroom anymore. He stood at the door and made such a fuss, then Kate saw it outside and started crying! Here is the picture of John comforting them:

Three side notes:

#1I know I have posted a picture of Kate in this outfit before - I love it, it's so cute, I got it off Ebay and she doesn't wear it everyday. Because we were going to playgroup, I wanted her to wear something with pants because she likes to slide and has trouble sliding with a dress or shorts on, hence this capri outfit. It's a lobster outfit, well I also found Luke a lobster outfit (not on Ebay, but at Gymboree). So cute.

#2 If you expand this picture you might notice Kate's nose has a strip of a band-aid on it. Kate scratched her nose BEFORE Easter and it has not healed up yet. The main reason for this - KATE! When she has her passy at night, she plays with it and ends up picking the scab off her nose. Many mornings she has woke up with a BIGGER sore on it from picking it the night before. I'm constantly saying "Stop picking your nose" "Did you pick your nose" funny thing is, she is not "picking" her nose, she's picking at it!? So the other morning, I said - No more passy at night until your nose heals up. I've also been putting a band-aid on it - All day, I do take it off when we go to Walmart. However, I don't even notice it anymore and left it on for this picture. She will even say - Where's my band-aid - it fell off. For real, If you have a better fix for the nose picking, let me know. The benefit is that for the last two nights she has had no passy and it wasn't bad. She asked for it the first night. The second night, she didn't even mention it.

#3 I'm the mother that puts my kids in matchy outfits...and they aren't the same sex. Is that weird?

Update on Luke - he is so funny, I found him today standing on the table on the kitchen/diner playset. I freaked out, he just laughed. I wish I had a picture of it. He is walking really well and trying to talk. He did start signing the word for "more" of course, when he wants more FOOD!

Have a good weekend!

Potty Training 101

We have started potty training yesterday. We were going to start earlier, but she broke her leg and then we never made it around to doing it. She is fighting it. The only thing she likes, is running around mostly naked in a pair of panties.

Here she is trying to go. She did not want me to take her picture. She wanted a book to read.

So far, we've had just a few accidents. We ran an errand today and she did not go while we were out, but did promptly when we got home. Please share your tips/wisdom on how this should go, I haven't even read a book yet. I was going to, but decided I didn't want to read something so boring. I have been setting the timer for every 20 mins and making her go when it goes off. I'm sure she will only be able to go when the buzzer rings...ha!

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter Weekend! We went to my parents house in Dardanelle. Lots of family there - we had a really good time. Warning - lots of pictures -
On Friday my cousin Amber brought over her kids to play with Kate and Luke. Cole is 5 and Kayla is the same age as Kate (2). Kayla also had a friend with her Lily. They wanted to play outside, but it was too cold!

Here they are all together. Luke, Lily, Kayla, Cole and Kate

Here is one w/Luke looking at the camera, but Lily is out of the shot.

Since it was beautiful on Saturday, we did a little shopping, had a little lunch and then let Kate have an Easter Egg Hunt. She carried her basket and Luke's.

She dressed herself. I guess I'm going to have to throw this heart jacket away, she LOVES it.

She's been eating the candy...notice the chocolate lips.

Luke having a good time.
Pappaw is Kate's partner in Crime...notice the candy in his hand.

Kate relaxing with her new friend - Jasper. She LOVES Jasper. She wanted her Daddy to "get her a Jasper."

Here she is walking Jasper around the house.

Also on Saturday, she got to ride on the tractor and 4-wheeler. I didn't get any picture of the tractor.
Here is Luke eating his new favorite thing - Graham Crackers!

On Sunday we got dressed up and went to Church with Meme and Pappaw.

Here is Meme and Pappaw with us.

After Church, Luke and John fell asleep - before Lunch.

Since it was so cold and raining, we hid eggs in the house. In theory a good idea, but really it wasn't because there was candy in them. They wouldn't stop eating the candy. Here is Jacob with one of his eggs. Notice he is going for the candy.

Kate looking for Eggs.

Jacob with his rabbit ears on.

Jacob and Kate - this is the best we could get. Kate was crying hard right before this picture. I can't believe she managed a smile.

After dinner we were hanging out with Luke. Sissy and Luke, my cousins Amber and Shelby.

Luke w/his Rabbit ears.

The Rabbit cake. John called it an upside down tooth cake and my Dad called it a cake with a big piece missing out of it.

I hope everyone had a Good Easter Weekend!

Sweet Dreams

Kate loves to go for a bicycle ride. This year John bought one of those trailers that go behind the bike, Kate really likes it. Tonight, John took Kate for a ride...this is how they came back...

Hopefully, there is room for Luke next time.

Spring Cleaning

I'm trying to do some spring cleaning around my house...I don't enjoy cleaning and I don't think I'm a very good cleaner. However, my house wants to be ready for Spring, so I'm cleaning. I reorganized my pantry. Ok, part of my pantry. I want to finish it by the end of the week.

What are you doing for Spring Cleaning? Please share ideas....because I need them.

Kate 'spring cleanin' her stuff.

I'm back

I've been feeling un-inspired lately with the blog, so I apologized for not posting anything lately. So get ready for some pictures...
Here is Melody and Me - we had dinner with the Winberrys for David's birthday at Herman's....that place has not changed in 10 years. For real...check out the curtains!

David and Melody

Meme gave Kate two goldfish the other day. Here she is showing them to her babies. The one with the green pants on is named Bob. She named her - I have no idea where Bob came from. Also, one of the fish went "home" and she said the other one is sad now. Where does she come up with this stuff?

Kate has a kitchen set outside on the deck. Here is Luke looking at Kate - he got up on her little couch to see her. Shortly after this shot, he tried to sit down and fell back.

As in the previous picture Luke is always standing up. He wants to walk so bad, he hates crawling. Here he is trying to ride Kate's motorcycle. When I put him on it, he gets so excited...big smile on his face...he loves it. I think this is a bad sign.

Here is Jacob - my adorable nephew. He was at Meme's riding in the double stroller without a passenger. He loves that thing. Seriously, loves it.

Picture of Kate on the deck

Here is John and Kate, they were grilling hotdogs

I hope everyone has a Happy St. Patrick's Day tomorrow! Enjoy this beautiful weather!
