Check out this monkey!

Whew! What a weekend! We were busy! Razorback game, MDO Sunday Singing, Park. I only have one picture to share right now, but I will get the others up!
Here is Luke at the park sliding down the slide. Notice he is hanging on the top, and he is literally swinging from the slide, then letting go and sliding down the slide. Thankfully, this is on the small one. Happy Monday!

Who thought..."hmmm, I think we should put Cheese Balls in a container that looks like a barrel and sell them!"

Whoever it was...Luke thanks you!

Luke is 2!

I can't believe this baby
Is this little boy
Where did the time go? Luke is such a monkey, he will try anything. He loves older kids and will do whatever they do. He loves cars, motorcycles and movies. He is a picky eater and his favorites are chicken nuggets, spaghettios, oatmeal, corn on the cob, breakfast bars, fruit, cereal, cheetos, fruit snacks. His vocabulary is not huge, but he is starting to say some words and he babbles all the time. He doesn't want you to rock him to sleep, he goes right down and still sleeps with his blanket and his passy along with two handfuls of cars. He is such a sweet little boy and gives the sweetest fish kisses. Happy Birthday Lukey!
I've said it before and I will say it again, The days are long, but the years are short!

Boys & Their Toys

Anyone who knows my husband, knows how obsessed he is with cars and motorcycles. I was hoping this wouldn't trickle down to my children....but it did. Luke loves playing with cars and has one in his hand always. I picked up this little rug with roads, towns, buildings on it at....KMART! I moved it into the kitchen the other day so I could watch him while I was working.

Good Hygiene

He's hiding. You know why?
He has Kate's Dora toothbrush.
Oops, there's mommy...."CHEESE!"
Saying Cheese to the camera is his new favorite thing. And brushing his teeth.

What does "cheese" look like?

Like this.

Guess who got a Bug?

This guy! And it's not a fun bug...it's the Stomach Bug. He gave it to me, Daddy and three other people. Thankfully, Kate has not got it yet.

He looks fine, but he has some massive belly problems...if you know what I mean!

That's why we haven't been blogging. See you soon!

I love to color!

Luke wants to color with Kate, so I put him in his highchair and gave him some paper. A few minutes later, this is what I found:

Luke's first day

Today was Luke's first day of Mother's Day Out. Kate wanted to take him to school and drop him off. She was so excited for him. She got in the picture (of course) with him.

Here she is telling him to smile.

He had no idea what was going to happen today.

Now she is showing him how to say "CHEESE"

He was fine when I dropped him off as he was distracted with toys. No calls. When I picked him up, he was crying, but the teacher said, he had just started crying because they took him out of the stroller and he wanted to stay in. She said he did really good for his first day. He did cry a little, but for just a few minutes. He ate some food, took a small nap and had an overall good day. Since he's only going one day a week, it's going to take him awhile to get use to it. His teacher is really awesome. She is understanding and patient with him. I really like her and it's only the first day.

Here I go Mom!

Mother of the Year

Luke fell over at my mothers yesterday and bumped his head. He cried for a minute then went about his business. He is always bumping his head. This kid will never have his picture made...

This is the best picture I could get. Notice he's eating a graham cracker and holding the lenses thingy.

You have the best laugh ever. If someone if laying on the floor you think they want to play so you go and throw yourself on top of them, laughing the whole time. You love fruit. You love to chew on everything. You love to put things in your mouth. You love to roll over when I'm trying to change your diaper. You 'finally' sleep all night. You have a mouth full of teeth. You love bath time. You are a mommy's boy. You give your daddy 'head butts'. You started saying bye bye and waving. You walk around the house yelling for Kate. You love your sister. You love following Jacob around. You love to be held. You enjoy watching cartoons. You love to dance. When I go in to get you from your nap, you always grab your blanket. You love to climb on anything. You love to drive and ride all things. You love being outside. You can sign "more". You drool a lot. You still spit up a little. You always want to pet dogs. You are so much fun and bring so much joy to my life. I love you little buddy!

He's getting so big

Luke's birthday is Friday...I can't tell you how fast this year has gone by. Seems like just yesterday I was ordering his crib. I feel like he's too young to be 1 year old. He's too young to enroll in Mother's Day Out. He's too young to play at the park. He's too young to turn his carseat around and face forward. Now I know why the last born is always the baby of the family.
This week is dedicated to my baby...who weighs like 25 lbs.

He is a climber. He will climb anything and stand at the top of it and yell until we get him down.

I can't believe it's Friday already!

Wow, I have not posted anything since Monday? Wow. Where did the week go?

John still has not passed his kidney stone...yikes! I took him to the specialist on Wednesday and they said that he will need to wait a couple of weeks and see if it's passed and if not, then they will break it up with soundwaves, etc. He has been working from home all week - I don't know how he can get anything done with these two kids constantly running around! His pain comes and goes. Overall, he is doing better.

We had playgroup today and prior to leaving I made John take the little "playground" as Kate calls it outside. It's a swing and slide combo. It has been in the playroom since the winter and now it needs to go outside where it belongs! I swear my husband would bring those motorcycles in my house if I would let him. Back to the story, Luke was devastated it wasn't in the playroom anymore. He stood at the door and made such a fuss, then Kate saw it outside and started crying! Here is the picture of John comforting them:

Three side notes:

#1I know I have posted a picture of Kate in this outfit before - I love it, it's so cute, I got it off Ebay and she doesn't wear it everyday. Because we were going to playgroup, I wanted her to wear something with pants because she likes to slide and has trouble sliding with a dress or shorts on, hence this capri outfit. It's a lobster outfit, well I also found Luke a lobster outfit (not on Ebay, but at Gymboree). So cute.

#2 If you expand this picture you might notice Kate's nose has a strip of a band-aid on it. Kate scratched her nose BEFORE Easter and it has not healed up yet. The main reason for this - KATE! When she has her passy at night, she plays with it and ends up picking the scab off her nose. Many mornings she has woke up with a BIGGER sore on it from picking it the night before. I'm constantly saying "Stop picking your nose" "Did you pick your nose" funny thing is, she is not "picking" her nose, she's picking at it!? So the other morning, I said - No more passy at night until your nose heals up. I've also been putting a band-aid on it - All day, I do take it off when we go to Walmart. However, I don't even notice it anymore and left it on for this picture. She will even say - Where's my band-aid - it fell off. For real, If you have a better fix for the nose picking, let me know. The benefit is that for the last two nights she has had no passy and it wasn't bad. She asked for it the first night. The second night, she didn't even mention it.

#3 I'm the mother that puts my kids in matchy outfits...and they aren't the same sex. Is that weird?

Update on Luke - he is so funny, I found him today standing on the table on the kitchen/diner playset. I freaked out, he just laughed. I wish I had a picture of it. He is walking really well and trying to talk. He did start signing the word for "more" of course, when he wants more FOOD!

Have a good weekend!

11 months old

My little boy is eleven months old now. Wow, time flies by. He has the funniest laugh ever. I will try to get it on tape so I can share it. He is walking everywhere. He doesn't care if he falls down. He is a very good eater and trying all sorts of stuff. He does love macaroni and cheese and any kind of fruit, lots of fruit. Yesterday he almost ate a whole banana by himself. He loves to take a bath. He loves his big sister and yesterday I think he said Kate. He says "mamamamama" over and over when he wants me to pick him up. He is such a sweet little boy.

Here are some pictures from this weekend!

Here is how is swinging now. He started this while I was out of town. He climbs up into the swing, by himself, then starts swinging while standing up facing backwards - only stopping only to fall out. (I know the playroom is a hot mess, I was out of town)

Black and Blue...

Luke is trying to walk...he looks like he has been in battle. Two bumps yesterday, one today. I'm afraid to take him out in public...people might start talking....
